The Admiral arcades are coin-operated rooms of cabinets, fruit machines and amusement machines. They hold no account, no history, no cashback and no live tables, and they close overnight. The website opened in 2018 to take the online spend of people who already knew the name from those rooms.
The two sides do not connect. No balance moves either way, no online winnings are paid out at a venue, and no arcade receipt counts as a deposit.

The first settlement was reached in December 2021 at £685,000, covering how the business ran between December 2019 and November 2020. Out-of-hours monitoring was inadequate. Monthly loss triggers were relied on instead of contacting customers directly. Six suspicious activity reports were compiled and never sent to the National Crime Agency. One politically exposed customer was allowed to deposit up to a £1,000 limit with no source-of-wealth checks run.
The second came in January 2025 at £1,000,000. A compliance assessment was set up specifically to test whether the 2021 lessons had stuck, and it found further failings between September 2022 and June 2023. A customer whose stated occupation pointed to access to funds belonging to other people went unreviewed. An account sharing a surname and address with a blocked account belonging to a customer convicted of supplying class A drugs was never investigated. Another customer deposited £4,000 over four months before anyone read the bank statement they had already handed over, which showed negative balances and payments to another gambling operator.
The two settlements come to £1.685 million and they are just over three years apart. The Gambling Commission recorded general improvement since 2021 alongside inconsistent application of the policies already in place. The licence continues and no suspension followed either case.
