🔎 The group name that appears on no licence
Type flutter into the business file and three unconnected accounts turn up: a sole trader in Kent trading under a similar name, a small Crewe company whose licences were revoked for non-payment of fee in November 2024, and a Bedford bingo operator licensed since 2018. None of them has anything to do with the company behind Sky Vegas.
That is normal rather than suspicious - the file licenses operating companies, not corporate groups - so there is no single page anywhere on the public record showing the whole group in one place. What the file gives instead is overlap: one domain sits on five licensees at once, another on four; several Malta accounts print the identical head office address; and the Gibraltar account behind Tombola Arcade shares its own head office with part of the Betfair operation. In December 2025 a decision named four of these licensees in a single paragraph and treated them as one operation. Beyond overlaps like those, the file makes no ownership statement, and neither does this page.
🔑 What happened to the Leeds account
The only account in this file with a mainland British head office traded under the Sky Betting and Gaming name from an office in Leeds. It carried four remote permissions from November 2014 - casino, betting on real events, betting on simulated events and pool betting - and added a software permission a few weeks after that. All five activities now read Surrendered, closing on 31 October 2025, and every trading name and domain tied to the account is Inactive.
The eight domains split on the way out. Six of them, the addresses behind Sky Vegas, Sky Bingo, Sky Casino, Sky Poker and their mobile equivalents, moved to a brand-new Gibraltar company licensed for bingo and casino in November 2024. The remaining two, Sky Bet and its mobile version, moved to a separate, brand-new Malta company whose licence started in early October 2025, a little over three weeks before the old one closed. One trading name shows the split clearly: Sky Bet Games reads Active on the Gibraltar account and Inactive on the Malta one - the same name kept on one file and not carried onto the other. Read live on 8 August 2026, the Sky Vegas footer names its current company correctly and matches this file.
👤 The fifteen accounts, brand by brand
Start with the two brands reviewed on this site. Sky Vegas shares one Gibraltar account with Sky Casino, Sky Bingo and Sky Poker, active for bingo and casino since November 2024. Sky Bet trades on a separate, newer Malta account of its own. Tombola and Tombola Arcade sit on a single Gibraltar account that has run bingo and casino since 2014, with virtual-event betting added in 2025.
Betfair and Paddy Power together span five further accounts in Malta and Dublin. Three of those five carry both brand names at once - the same licensee trading as both Betfair and Paddy Power on the same file. A fourth carries Betfair alone, plus its Predicts arm, the one address of its kind here. A fifth, in Dublin, carries Paddy Power alone. The Paddy Power retail side sits entirely apart from all of that: 351 betting shops on one further account, and not a single domain alongside them.
PokerStars carries the widest single-account roster of any brand here: PokerStars itself, PokerStars Casino, PokerStars Sports, PokerStars Vegas, Full Tilt and BetStars are all trading names on one Isle of Man account, though BetStars is a domain with no matching name and PokerStars Vegas is an Active name that has never had a web address to go with it.
📌 The names with no working site behind them
- Dibz - an Inactive name on one of the Betfair-and-Paddy-Power accounts
- Deal or No Deal and Dial-a-Bet - Inactive names on a separate account whose one licence surrendered in October 2024, over a year before the Leeds account went the same way
- Two accounts carry no brand and no domain at all, just a software permission each - one in London, one in Birmingham
⚠ The sanctions picture across the group
Five of the fifteen accounts carry a regulatory action today, and the record is genuinely layered: a live penalty, a recent group settlement, and two older penalties that are no longer on any live counter at all.
The most recent finding sits on the Tombola Arcade account itself: a financial penalty of £184,500, decided 21 July 2025 under section 121 of the Gambling Act, for consent and self-exclusion failures the licensee reported itself. It is the one entry in this whole file still exactly where it should be.
A larger settlement followed on 17 December 2025: £2,000,000 across four of the Betfair-and-Paddy-Power accounts, decided after a licence review found a customer who staked £86,000 across sixteen days without a manual check. The outcomes were a payment in place of a fine, costs and a public statement.
🔔 Two penalties no longer on any counter, both from the old Leeds account
- 28 March 2018, £1,000,000 - 736 self-excluded customers opened duplicate accounts, marketing reached around fifty thousand people who should not have had it, and 36,748 customers never got their balances back when accounts closed
- 9 March 2022, £1.17 million - a Sky Vegas promotion reached 249,159 people who had unsubscribed and 41,395 who had self-excluded
£2.17 million paid across those two 2018-and-2022 cases no longer shows up anywhere on a live counter - the licence behind them simply does not exist any more for a counter to attach to.
One of the four accounts in the December 2025 settlement also carried an earlier, separate finding: £490,000 on 25 May 2023, for a push notification that reached devices tied to self-excluded and opted-out players. That same account own counter shows one action today, the December 2025 entry, not two and not the 2023 one - the same pattern as the old Leeds account: a live counter only ever shows what currently stands, not everything that ever did.
🔗 Two of these accounts have a page of their own
Sky Vegas and Tombola Arcade each carry a full write-up on this site. Everything else here, Sky Bet, Paddy Power, Betfair, PokerStars and the rest, stays part of the wider picture rather than a page of its own, exactly as the file itself shows it: one commercial name spread across a genuinely large and uneven group. The same broad shape, one group name, several licensees, a counter that does not tell the whole story, turns up elsewhere on this site too, under names like Entain, evoke and Dazzletag.
