What each sister offers beside Coral
Every brand below sits on account 54743, on the same licence number, 054743-R-330863-014, with the same six remote permissions – remote here meaning the play happens on a computer or phone rather than in a betting shop – and the same licensee, so verification, complaints routing and the company you are contracting with do not change between them. What changes is everything else.
That is six of the thirteen, and Coral itself makes seven. The shop licence and the online licence
Two separate UKGC accounts carry the Coral name, and only one of them holds the website. Search the Gambling Commission business search for coral and account 1611 comes back alongside 54743: Ladbrokes Betting and Gaming Limited, registered at One Stratford Place, Montfichet Road, London, E20 1EJ. Its counters, read the same day, give three trading names, no domain names at all, 2,683 premises and no regulatory actions.
The three trading names on 1611 are coral and ladbrokes, both Active, and spin powered by ladbrokes, Inactive – two plus one, which reconciles against the counter of three. The premises figure covers everything that licensee runs, so it is a count of the estate behind both retail names rather than a count of Coral shops, and nobody should read it as the second.
The permissions differ as sharply as the numbers do. - Leaguenotion, account 1874 – trading as coral island. No matching domain names.
- Isabelle Marianne Belton, account 2795 – trading as coral beach leisure. Again no matching domain names, and no connection to the bookmaker.
Only account 54743 returns coral.co.uk when the domain itself is searched. That is the check worth doing on any brand: search the domain rather than the name, because a name search catches seaside arcades and charitable trusts while a domain search catches the company that actually runs the site.
The sign up, screen by screen
Read on 9 August 2026. Registration runs four screens, and the first three ask for the following, in this order.
- Set up your account – email address, mobile number with a +44 prefix, a User ID and a password.
- Let us get to know you – title, first and last name, date of birth, and a postcode lookup with a manual entry route behind it. This screen names the Terms and the Age and Identity Verification Policy.
- An interstitial reading Verifying your details, which runs before anything else is asked for.
- A deposit-limit screen, with the limit badged as Recommended and a Skip for now route past it.
Set that beside Ladbrokes and the result is unusual: the four screens are word for word the same. Same titles, same fields, same interstitial, same deposit-limit wording. Three small things separate them. The reset control on the address step reads Start over on Coral and Clear address on Ladbrokes. The submit button reads Create my account rather than Create your account. And the policy list on step two names the Terms and the Age and Identity Verification Policy but stops there, where the Ladbrokes version also names the Privacy Policy.
No account was created and no personal details were submitted to reach any of this – the flow was read as a structure, screen by screen, and stopped short of registration.
What the Coral footer names

And the social row runs Facebook, X and YouTube with no Instagram. Above the footer sits a line about the safer gambling tools on offer, naming deposit limits, reality checks and time-outs. The logo carries a centenary mark.
The offers on the page in August 2026
Two things were on display on 9 August 2026, and the terms below are the ones stated on the page.
The headline is £30 in free bets for a £5 qualifying bet. The money, and the counter that shows none of it
Checked on 9 August 2026: on 54743 the regulatory actions counter shows zero, on 1611 it shows zero as well, and the Gambling Commission enforcement list returns nothing for coral, nothing for LC International and nothing for ladbrokes. Four separate searches, four empty results. None of them means what a reader would reasonably assume.
On 31 July 2019 the Commission announced that Ladbrokes Coral Group would pay £5.9m over failings running from November 2014 to October 2017. The two licensees named were Coral Interactive (Gibraltar) Limited and Ladbrokes Betting and Gaming Limited. GVC, as the incoming owner, met £4.8m of that as a payment in lieu, and £1.1m was divested profit. The package went well past the money: GVC was also to look again at its fifty largest customers from 2015 through 2017, giving up any additional profit that exercise uncovered, to overhaul responsible gambling and customer-interaction processes, to retrain existing staff and to hire more, and the Commission said its enquiries into the role of personal management licence holders were continuing.
On 17 August 2022 the Commission announced a further £17m from Entain, directed to socially responsible purposes. It split by licensee, and the split maps exactly onto the two accounts set out above: £3m landed on Ladbrokes Betting and Gaming Limited, the licensee behind the shops, and £14m on LC International Limited, the one holding coral.co.uk. Two conditions came with it rather than money alone. An added licence condition put a named board member in charge of overseeing the improvement plan. A second required a third-party audit inside twelve months, to establish whether the business was meeting its licence conditions and the codes of practice. The Commission also said it would watch the operator closely, and warned that further serious failings could put the licence itself at risk.
That is £22.9m across two announced packages, both of them settlements rather than fines, and both landing on licensees whose current counters read zero. A regulatory actions counter reports actions currently recorded against a currently licensed account. It is a snapshot of the Gambling Commission records, not a history of the operator, and reading a zero as a verdict on conduct is the single most common mistake made on pages like this one.
