⚽ Two other British books, and what each one gives you
Neither is a sister site. Each belongs to a different company, and that company is the one holding your money and answering a complaint. Both hold British licences of their own, and either would serve somebody who came here looking for Planet Sport Bet.
💰 How much you can actually win in a day
Planet Sport Bet publishes its payout ceilings in full, sport by sport. The overall stop is £500,000 across all sports in a single day of betting, and it holds even if several bets would together have paid more.
Underneath that, the limits fall a long way depending on what you backed.
📋 The ceilings, sport by sport
- Horse racing in Britain, Ireland and the Breeders Cup: £100,000 on singles and multiples including ante post, £50,000 on forecasts and tricasts, £25,000 on every other market built off the race
- France and Dubai: half those numbers
- American, South African, Australian and other Group 1 racing: £25,000 on singles and multiples, £5,000 on forecasts and tricasts, £2,000 on anything else, and £20,000 on Tote bets
- Greyhounds from the televised meetings: £25,000, and every other greyhound meeting £5,000
- Full mens international football, World Cup and European Championship ties included: £100,000
- Most other leagues and competitions: £50,000, and Scottish non league football £10,000
- Club friendlies, youth football, reserve football and womens football: £5,000
Football is where the spread is widest. The floor on club friendlies, youth, reserve and womens football is one twentieth of the figure a full international carries. One more rule matters if you mix sports in a single bet: where a multiple covers events with different ceilings, the lowest of them applies to the whole bet.
The document those limits sit in gives its own last change of rules as 1 June 2021, nearly four years before this licence was granted.
⚠️ What happens to your money if the firm goes under
Every British licence holder has to tell customers what it does with deposited money and how safe that money is if the business fails. Planet Sport Bet answers it directly: customer money is held separately from the money the company trades on, and the terms state that it is not protected if the business becomes insolvent. The rating printed is Not Protected.
💰 Worth knowing before you leave a balance sitting
Money left in the account is not held the way money in a bank is, so it is worth taking winnings out rather than leaving them there. Put money in, then ask to take it out again without having bet it, and the terms allow a charge on the account to cover the cost of moving it.
The same clause is meant to say which arrangement holds that money. On 16 August 2026 it still listed all three options together inside square brackets, as a template does before somebody fills it in, so it does not tell you which one applies.
⏰ Where the brand came from
Until late 2025 this address sat on a different licence, held by Playbook Gaming Limited of London. That file ran six permissions between 2018 and 2025 and had seven web addresses against it. All six were surrendered on 19 November 2025 and all seven addresses are now marked closed, planetsportbet.com among them.
The site itself never stopped taking bets, because the replacement licence had already been granted on 11 March 2025, eight months earlier.
That is why an older comparison page may still tell you Planet Sport Bet is a sister site of Betzone or Rhino.bet. It was. The shared licence those pages were describing no longer exists.
📋 What the licence covers
Gambling Commission account 65109 runs four permissions, all live from 11 March 2025: bingo, casino, real event betting and virtual event betting, every one of them sold over the internet. The head office is on Victoria Avenue in Harrogate, and the site names the same number in its own terms.
The web address is filed as White Label. That is the entry used when the brand on the front of a site and the company licensed to run it are not the same business. It changes nothing about who is answerable, because Planet Bet Limited holds the licence and takes the complaint either way, and it is why this brand could move from one licence to another without the site going dark.
🔍 What the file showed on the day it was read
- Four permissions, all Active from 11 March 2025
- One trading name, one web address, and no betting shops
- No regulatory action was listed against the licence on 16 August 2026
🔗 More British bookmakers on this site
Bet St George shares its betting software with nine other brands and its licence with none of them. Betdaq is the opposite case, with a sister sharing its own licence. The same licence check has been run on 10Bet.
