The Malta licence VoodooDreams and its sisters trade under sits inside a larger structure. SuprPlay Limited belongs to a group called SuprNation, referenced as far back as 2015 in the Los Vegas footer, and SuprNation itself changed hands in 2023: DoubleDown Interactive, a company listed on Nasdaq and built around casino games that pay out in pretend chips rather than real money, agreed the purchase that January and finished the paperwork the following October, reportedly for close to $36.5 million. VoodooDreams was one of the names DoubleDown pointed to when it announced the purchase, alongside NY Spins and Duelz; Los Vegas was left out, a detail that places its launch after rather than before the deal. The buyer holds gambling permission in three other places besides Britain.
