⏰ Last Researched On 15 August 2026
🛑 0 licensed in Britain
📅 Licence handed back 15 May 2025

👥 Six of the 23 names, and where each one stands

All 23 shared one permission and all 23 lost it on the same day. The six below differ in what a search returns for each of them now.

Fun88

📈 One of the larger names TGP carried · Last Researched On 15 August 2026

An Asian-facing sportsbook brand filed as fun88.co.uk, and the account carried a second related address, fun78.com. Where it stands on 15 August 2026: the business search returns the one dead account and nothing else, while the fun88.co.uk address still resolves to a server. Reachable is not the same as lawful here.

SBOTOP

⚽ A sportsbook rather than a casino · Last Researched On 15 August 2026

Filed as sbotop.co.uk, and one of several betting-led names that made this account more sportsbook than slots. Where it stands on 15 August 2026: one result in the business search, and that result is the surrendered account.

Duelbits

💰 The other crypto-led name on the account · Last Researched On 15 August 2026

The closest in style to BC.Game itself among the brands on this licence, filed as duelbits.co.uk. Where it stands on 15 August 2026: one result in the business search, pointing at the same surrendered account.

SportPesa

👕 The shirt sponsor caught by the surrender · Last Researched On 15 August 2026

Filed as sportpesa.uk, and among the brands in view when the Commission wrote to football clubs about their sponsors. Where it stands on 15 August 2026: one result in the business search, and it is the same dead account as the rest.

TLCBet

📁 One brand, filed twice · Last Researched On 15 August 2026

The only name on this account holding two addresses, tlcbet.co.uk and tlcbet.com, which is why 23 sister addresses does not mean 23 separate brands. Where it stands on 15 August 2026: both addresses marked Inactive, and one result in the business search.

12Bet

🎯 Another betting-led name on the account · Last Researched On 15 August 2026

Filed as 12bet.uk, one more betting-led brand on an account that ran no casino of its own. Where it stands on 15 August 2026: one result in the business search, and it is the surrendered one.

Stake and Sportsbet.io sat on the same account and are not set out individually, because both names are too common in the business search to give a clean answer. What can be checked has been: the stake.uk.com address no longer resolves at all. The rest of the names on the account are BetVision, Bob88, BJ88, Kaiyun, Nova88, 8XBet, 6686 Sports, De-Bet, Fun78, 138, BK8 across two addresses, and uk-wl.co.uk, which is not a casino but the generic address of the arrangement itself.

📜 A licence given back rather than fought

The licence belonged to TGP Europe Limited, a company filing its office at Castle Street in Douglas, on the Isle of Man. It carried four permissions and all four end on one day, 15 May 2025: casino and betting on real events, both running from 1 November 2014; betting on virtual events from that same date; and gambling software from 25 February 2015. Every one of them now reads Surrendered.

Surrendered is not the same as revoked. It means the holder gave the permission up rather than the Commission taking it away, and the published statement dated 16 May 2025 gives the reason: a £3.3 million penalty had been put to the company over failures to check its business partners properly and over anti-money-laundering controls, and it chose to leave the British market instead of paying. To a player the distinction makes no practical difference. Either way, nothing on that account may lawfully take money from Britain now.

🔢 What was on the account, and what it never had

Three different counts appear on this account and they are reconcilable, though nothing published joins them up.

📋 How 23, 24 and 25 fit together

  • The account lists 24 web addresses, and every one of the 24 is marked Inactive
  • One of those 24 is bcgame.uk itself, which leaves 23 sister addresses
  • TLCBet holds two of the 23, so 23 addresses is not 23 separate brands
  • The summary heading above the address list says 25, one more than the list beneath it, and nothing published explains the extra one

What the account never had matters too: no trading names at all, and no premises. TGP Europe ran no casino of its own. It rented its British permission to other firms, and that account is what made their websites lawful here. All four permissions say Remote, which is the word for gambling supplied over the internet, there to mark the licence out from one issued for a physical venue. The public file the Commission kept on the company stays published after a licence ends, which is why a dead account can still be read in full today.

⚠ What the enforcement total counts, and what it drops

The enforcement total against this account reads zero. That figure is accurate, and it is also the most misleading thing on the account, because a surrendered licence carries nothing forward: that total only covers what is live against a current permission, and there is no current permission left for anything to count against.

The £3.3 million is neither invented nor hidden. It sits in the published statement dated 16 May 2025, the day after the surrender took effect, and that statement was followed by a warning aimed at football clubs whose shirt sponsors had just lost lawful access to British customers. The zero on its own suggests nothing ever happened. The published statement says otherwise. So a zero on an account summary is not a verdict about a company.

🔍 Seven names searched, and the same dead account each time

The business search on the Gambling Commission site accepts a brand name as readily as a company name, and running the names from this account through it on 15 August 2026 gave a consistent answer. BC.Game, Fun88, SBOTOP, SportPesa, TLCBet, 12Bet and Duelbits each returned exactly one result, and in every case that result was the surrendered account. No second account, no new licensee, no quiet move onto another British permission.

On other closed accounts a second result is usually what turns up, because it means the brand carried on somewhere else under a different licence holder. Here there is no second result to find. Two addresses have gone further and stopped resolving altogether, bcgame.uk and stake.uk.com among them. The fun88.co.uk address does still point at a server, which is a different thing from being lawful here.

🌐 The offshore site is a different proposition

The international BC.Game site carries on under arrangements made elsewhere, and that is where the difficulty starts for a British player. A site being reachable and a site being licensed are two separate questions, and only the second one comes with any protection. With no British licence there is no oversight here of how the games are run, no GamStop cover for anyone who has self-excluded, no free dispute service to take a stalled withdrawal to, and none of the protection British rules give against unfair terms. Money deposited is not covered by any scheme here.

  • ✅ Safe: a British-licensed site, where a stalled withdrawal can be taken to a free dispute service and a GAMSTOP exclusion is honoured across every licensed operator at once.
  • ❌ Costly: depositing on the offshore site because the name is familiar, and finding that none of those routes exists when something goes wrong.

🛡 Where to bet with British protection

No licensed British operator offers the crypto-led format BC.Game built its name on, so there is no like-for-like swap to point at. What there is instead is the ordinary licensed market, where all four of those protections apply.

10Bet
A single-brand licence of its own, held and used by one company
Coral
Inside the Entain group, with the scale and the complaint routes that brings
BetVictor
The odds-first option of the four
Lottoland and EU Lotto
One licence used the opposite way: a single brand and a single domain for over a decade
