💼 BV Gaming holds the licence, other companies own the names
BV Gaming Limited holds the British licence and the Gibraltar one, and it supplies the platform, the odds engine, the payment processing and the regulatory cover to all seven sites. The names sitting on top of it are owned separately, by companies that do not hold the licence.
What that leaves is one company answerable to the British regulator for seven websites. Whichever name a player signs up under, the business behind the account is BV Gaming Limited.
📋 Who owns what, and who answers for it
BV Gaming Limited holds the British licence and the Gibraltar licence covering all seven sites.
Kaizen Gaming, a Greek company, owns the Betano name and its marketing budget.
The talkSPORT radio broadcaster owns the talkSPORT name, not the betting product under it.
BV Gaming owns BetVictor, Puntit and Smooth Spins, and acquired Heart Bingo in 2020.
The British Parimatch is a separate business from Parimatch international, running on the BV Gaming platform.
🔒 Set a limit at BetVictor and it lands on all six sisters at once
Deposit limits, cooling-off periods and self-exclusions are applied across the whole network, because there is only one licence for them to be applied to. A limit set at BetVictor covers every sister from the moment it is set. An exclusion taken at any one of the seven shuts the other six as well.
Accounts are the exception. Each brand runs its own, so a BetVictor sports customer can open a separate Smooth Spins account without disturbing the first. The accounts are separate. The protections are not.
That is the reverse of the arrangement at 32Red and Unibet, where two brands under one owner sit on two licences and a block set at one leaves the other open. Beyond the network, GAMSTOP is the wider block, and a sign-up there covers operators BV Gaming has nothing to do with.
📅 1946, then Gibraltar in 1999, then two changes of name
The bookmaking business was first licensed in 1946, under Victor Chandler, and it has traded ever since. He moved himself to Gibraltar in 1999 to get out from under British betting duty, and most major online bookmakers have been structured offshore since. The World Trade Center address printed in every BetVictor footer is there because of that move.
The Victor Chandler name became BetVictor in 2012. BetVictor Limited became BV Gaming Limited around 2020 as the white-label side of the business grew. Victor Chandler himself has no operational role now.
⚖ A £2 million settlement, and nothing attached to the licence today
A settlement of £2,000,000 was reached with the Gambling Commission over failings in anti-money-laundering controls and in social responsibility at BetVictor. It came before the change of company name to BV Gaming Limited, and no sanctions or conditions attach to the licence today.
💳 PayPal gone in 2024, Neteller in 2025, and Visa out in 40 minutes
Visa debit including Visa Fast Funds, Mastercard debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Trustly and bank transfer are taken at every brand. PayPal was removed from the whole network in March 2024 and Neteller followed in October 2025. BV Gaming has never said why either one went. A player who wants PayPal can still find it at 10Bet, which runs on its own licence with no sisters at all.
Visa Fast Funds pays out inside 40 minutes at British banks that take part, with a daily ceiling of £2,500. A standard debit card takes 2 to 5 business days instead, so Fast Funds is much the quicker of the two where a bank supports it. Some Mastercard issuers are blocked outright at the cashier, and the answer there is to switch to Visa. Revolut and Monzo are not supported for withdrawals.
Bank transfer is withdrawal only, so nothing can be paid in by it, and one submitted before 3pm may go the same day. Money must go back to whatever it came in by, with no exceptions anywhere in the network.

It came with the Heart FM partnership and an audience that barely overlapped the sportsbook customers, which is why buying it added reach rather than moving the same people around. Olly Murs fronts it, there are 90-ball and 75-ball rooms with slots underneath, and there is no sportsbook access from it at all.
