🏆 Six entries taken off the file

Six of the forty are set out below, picked because each one shows something the file does that the others do not. All six were read on 9 August 2026. Five have pages of their own here: the Casimba page, Grand Ivy, Hello Casino, the Karamba write-up and the Griffon Casino page. The sixth does not.

💻 A platform business more than a casino group

Most licence holders sell gambling. This one also builds it. Alongside casino, bingo and two betting permissions, the file carries one for gambling software, and that line changes how the rest of it reads.

The proportions say the same thing. Forty web addresses sit against exactly one trading name, white hat gaming. Twenty five of the forty are filed under White Label, which is the file saying in its own words that the brand on show belongs to another business. Seven addresses are names White Hat sells under itself. Most of what is on the file belongs to other businesses.

That distinction matters to a player for one plain reason. When the brand and the licence sit in different hands, it is the licence holder that owes the regulated duties: the verification, the complaint route and the money.

📜 The forty addresses, column by column

Read on 9 August 2026. The count printed above the licence summary says forty, and the three tables underneath hold forty rows between them, so the two figures agree. That is worth saying because on other licence files they do not.

Inactive is a status rather than a deletion, so the rows stay where they are as a record of what was once there. Anywhere that counts Inactive rows as closures will report eight dead brands on this licence. The figure is five, and the file itself gives a reader everything needed to tell one from the other.

💼 Five permissions, one date, one office

Anything sold to a British player has to sit under a licence, and here that licence was granted by the Gambling Commission. Five permissions run on the file. All of them started on 29 October 2018 and none has an end date.

Larger operators pick up permissions over a decade or more as products are added, so the dates on their files run across years. Every permission here starts on one day. The business was able to do everything it does now from the autumn of 2018 and has added nothing since. Nothing that happened before that date happened under this licence, whatever a brand now sitting on it was doing at the time.

One more thing sits at licence level rather than brand level, and it gets muddled often. The national self exclusion scheme covers every remote operator licensed in Great Britain. Sign up to it and all forty of these addresses close to a player, along with every other licensed site in the country. That reach comes from the scheme rather than from anything about this licence.

What is genuinely account level is responsibility. Whichever of the forty sites was used, the business answerable for what happened behind it is White Hat Gaming Limited. It holds the licence, it answers to the regulator, and it is where a dispute travels once the brand cannot settle it. A verification done once is held at that level, and so is any restriction put on an account.

🔔 The settlement dated December 2020

On 28 December 2020 the regulator announced that White Hat Gaming had agreed a settlement of £1.3 million after a compliance assessment found failings in how it identified and looked after customers at higher risk of money laundering and of gambling harm. The announcement is still published, and the article behind it was last updated on 9 August 2021.

The announcement names four websites. grandivy.com and 21casino.com are two of them. dreamvegas.com and hellocasino.com make up the other two. Three of the four are White Label addresses belonging to other businesses. Only hellocasino.com is a name White Hat trades under itself, so the failings were licence holder failings on sites carrying four different logos.

Three customer examples were published alongside it. A customer who lost £70,000 across three months had the source of that money never established. Contact was ineffective with a second who lost £50,000 inside six hours, and with a third whose £85,000 went in a little over an hour.

December 2020 is early in the life of this licence. It had been running a little over two years, and several brands now filed against it were not there yet. Dream Vegas was, and Karamba was not: the file shows www.karamba.com stopped and karamba.co.uk carrying White Label status, and that pairing only happens when a brand arrives from somewhere else.

A settlement attaches to a licence, so in the strict sense it sits over every address on the file, including ones added afterwards. In the ordinary sense of who did what, it does not. Four websites were named. The other thirty six were not, and nothing published says they were involved. The compliance standard, the source of funds checking and the limit enforcement met at any of the forty are the standard of one company, and that company was told in 2020 that its version of them was not good enough.
